Kitchen islandHere’s all you need: ten simple steps, no green thumb required.
Lay out the device, baskets, sponges, domes, seeds and nutrient.
Five minutes in water until damp all the way through.
Seat a soaked sponge in each basket, flush into the pods.
Two or three seeds into the centre of each sponge.
The domes hold humidity until the sprouts appear.
RO water to the half-sponge mark. Use plain water, no nutrient yet.
5 ml each of Plant Food A and B per litre, then top up to max.
The LED runs on a daily cycle from here.
Keep about two inches between the light and the plants.
Snip fresh greens; refill with RO water as it grows.
A hydroponic garden grows plants in water and nutrients instead of soil. QROOT uses this method with a built-in LED grow light and self-watering reservoir, so your herbs and greens grow faster with zero mess.
Fill the reservoir with water and nutrients, drop in seed pods, and plug it in. QROOT automatically waters your plants and provides full-spectrum light on a timer. You'll harvest fresh greens in about 4 weeks, and herbs like basil in 4 to 6.
Leafy greens and herbs grow best: basil, mint, coriander, lettuce, spinach, kale, and rocket. You can also grow cherry tomatoes, chillies, and strawberries with a bit more patience.
No. QROOT has a built-in full-spectrum LED grow light that provides everything your plants need. Place it anywhere: kitchen counter, living room shelf, or office desk.
QROOT's reservoir holds enough water for about 3 weeks. A low-water indicator lets you know when it's time to refill. No daily watering required.
